Mentorship

Our goal is to provide students from minoritized communities, specifically caste-oppressed and religious minorities in South Asia, with the tools and resources they need to gain access to and thrive in academic STEM. This includes, but is not limited to, guiding interested students through the graduate school admissions process, helping them draft and compile application materials (such as cover letters and statements of purpose), and sharing information on relevant opportunities in their discipline.

As a mentee, you can expect help on all of these fronts.

As a mentor, your job would be to help your mentee navigate academia in line with their goals and aspirations.

Please note that although we welcome (and encourage!) everyone to sign up as a mentor, our mentees exclusively belong to caste-oppressed groups and/or religious minorities. This includes Dalit, Bahujan, Adivasi and/or Indian Muslim students. If you are unsure of whether you qualify as a mentee, feel free to contact us. Note that both mentors and mentees are expected to abide by our Code of Conduct. We do not tolerate bigotry of any kind.
